Sound familiar?

The problem isn't earning too little. It's finding out too late.

  • The 20th arrives with a question

Can you pay that installment and still close the month? You only find out from the statement, when it's too late to adjust.

  • Your bills live in five places

Banking app, spreadsheet, phone reminder, the bill in your inbox and your memory. None of them shows the whole month.

  • The task list only grows

And it never answers the one question that matters at 9 in the morning: what do I do now?

Lykoset exists to answer two questions every day: what to do now, and how much will be left afterwards.

Lykoset financial agenda: a table with the opening balance, money in, money out and the closing balance for each day, with the last day in the table flagged for attention because it ends at minus $800.00

See your balance day by day, before it happens

Enter what comes in and what goes out once. Lykoset builds the timeline of your money and shows the balance for every day of the next 30, 60 or 90 days.

  • A timeline, not a statement

Each day shows what you start with, what comes in, what goes out and what you end with. You read the month like a calendar.

  • Salary, rent and installments entered once

Monthly recurrences, or a set number of installments, show up on their own in the months ahead. Due on the 31st in a 30-day month? Lykoset adjusts.

  • A warning before the first day in the red

If the balance is going to run short on some day, you see today which day it is and how much is missing, with time to bring money forward, postpone or renegotiate.

  • Planned next to actual

Paid a different amount, or on another date? Settle it with the real value. The planned one stays right beside it, so you can compare.

Is my data private?

What to do today. What will be left tomorrow.

Two questions that come back every day. Lykoset answers both in the same place, each on its own screen, without mixing them.

Who it's for

Built for people who live the month in practice

  • Freelancers and self-employed people with income that varies

When money arrives on different dates, knowing the balance of each day is what keeps things from getting tight.

  • Anyone with bills, installments and a card in the same month

See how the dates fit together before taking on one more installment.

  • Anyone tired of spreadsheets and apps that ask you to categorise everything

No broken formulas and no sorting every purchase. Enter what weighs, see the balance of each day, adjust.

  • Anyone who wants a simple task list

No boards, endless tags or methodology. One screen, four columns, focused on today.

Why Lykoset

Your banking app shows the past. Lykoset shows the 23rd.

Your banking app shows the balance right now and what already happened. A spreadsheet works until the first broken formula, and installments and recurrences turn into maintenance. The "complete" finance apps connect your accounts and dump hundreds of transactions for you to categorise — and still end up showing the past. Lykoset does the opposite, on purpose: it works only with what weighs on the month (salary, rent, card, installments, bills) and shows the balance of each day ahead, so you can adjust before. It fits in five minutes a week.

I built Lykoset because I was tired of finding out from my statement that the month wasn't going to work out. I wanted to look at one screen and know, today, whether I could pay everything until the 30th — and to have a simple list of what to do today. That's what it does.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask before starting

Do I need to connect my bank account?

No, and that's on purpose. Lykoset doesn't depend on your bank: you enter what comes in and what goes out (recurrences only once) and it projects the balance of each day. Your banking credentials never pass through here.

Does Lykoset record all of my transactions?

No. It isn't a statement app. You enter what weighs on the month — salary, rent, card, installments, bills — and it shows how much you'll have on each day. To know whether the money will be enough, that's what matters. If you like, enter day-to-day spending as one estimated monthly amount.

How is this different from a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet shows what you typed; Lykoset turns that into a timeline with the balance of each day, repeats recurrences on its own, warns you before the first negative day and keeps the planned value next to the actual one. No formulas to maintain.

Does it work for self-employed people and small traders?

Yes. Lykoset is designed for people and families, and it works well for anyone with variable income or who mixes personal and work accounts. It isn't a business management system.
